Why Tenacity of the Millelith?
Now, the Millelith artifact is at the top of the list because of myriad reasons. First of all, it’s because this set can provide an HP boost to Layla. Next is because this artifact is best for off-field support that can still trigger Elemental Skill, which is exactly what Layla can do.
With the 4-piece set, she can provide 20% ATK for ally while increasing her own shield strength by 30% for 3 seconds. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5 seconds, and her Night Stars from the Curtain of Slumber shield can help trigger it. This artifact set is perfect for Layla, especially for those who want to build her as a shielder.
Why Noblesse Oblige?
If the Millelith artifact depends on Layla’s Elemental Skill, then the Noblesse Oblige artifact depends on her Elemental Burst. The most solid reason this weapon is good for Layla is because of the high Energy Recharge and the number of Elemental Particles generated she can provide for the whole team. It is a handy passive skill that can help you charge your DPS once Layla is switched out of the field. The only downside is you need a decent amount of Crit Rate on her.
Why Key of Khaj-Nisut?
The best option after Favonius Sword is the almighty Key of Khaj-Nisut, with the perfect secondary stat and passive skill for Layla. With such a high HP bonus, this will definitely help increase the strength of her shield. It will also provide an Elemental Mastery buff for the team, depending on her Max HP (For example, a 30K HP Layla is going to give 60 EM to the team).
Why Primordial Jade Cutter?
Another decent 5-star would Primordial Jade Cutter with yet another HP boosts from the passive skill. The Crit Rate bonus from the sword may also help a little bit with her damage, but the ATK bonus is not very well used for Layla.

All the 5* options listed above are better than Favonius in this case, maybe even sac is better, especially since you might have low crit rate on your full HP Layla so you won’t be getting those sweet energy particles anyway.

Also, those two are for Layla’s ER so she can proc her Burst faster, even if she only needs 40 energy, if she has low ER, it will be tough to charge her particle then, especially if she will stay off-field most of the time and if we focus on HP artifacts. Layla does not benefit from ATK, and the passive skill from Festering Desire does make her Skill damage a bit stronger, but won’t make her shield tougher so while it’s not a bad choice, I prefer to include one that can either increase her shield durability or ER.
