Delaroche’s Fishing Quest Guide

A hidden quest that weren’t included in Fontaine’s Quests (from Reputation NPC). Help Delaroche hone her fishing skills to get Primogem rewards and a hidden achievement.

Day 1

➥ Teleport to Thalatta Submarine Canyon underwater waypoint and swim upwards to the surface until you reach the Fontaine Fishing Association. Catch one fish near the NPC first before stopping fishing and Delaroche will talk to you first for a hidden quest (Of course, talk to her and buy Bait Recipe first so you can fish there).

➥ For the task today, you need to swim underwater and check on her fishing road only to discover that there is no bait on it. Put a fish on the hook and talk to Delaroche again to complete Day 1. It turns out she did use a bait, but it dissolves too quickly in the water. Now, wait for a daily reset.

Day 2

➥ On the second day, you don’t have to fish and just talk to Delaroche for the next task.

➥ This time, her bait is too hard that it won’t dissolve at all and fail to attract any fishes. Put any bait on her hook so she can get another fish (I choose to put the Sugardew bait).

Day 3

➥ On the third day, talk to Delaroche about the next agenda.

➥ This time, Delaroche creates “Active Odor Imitating Bait” that can apparently analyze odors given off by dissolving the bait and will use other ingredients to imitate the effects. Unfortunately, the item was bitten by a gargantuan fish off the hook, so it’s your job now to retrieve it in the water.

➥ All is not well because once you take the item, a group of monsters appear and you need to defeat them before talking back to Delaroche to complete Day 3. Use Hunter’s Ray nearby to absorb their ability and use it on the enemies.

➥ Talk to Delaroche one last time and you will complete the 3 day hidden quests. Unfortunately, there is no achievement for this one.
