Desert Pavilion Chronicle & Flower of Paradise Lost Artifact Overview

New artifacts will be added in Genshin Impact 3.3. Time to farm in the new domain? Or not. Take your time figuring it out after learning what each of the sets can do here!

Two brand new artifacts will be added in Genshin Impact version 3.3, and the new domain will be somewhere in Sumeru (currently not officially revealed yet). However, we do know what those artifacts’ effects will be!

Desert Pavilion Chronicle

For the first artifact, it is glaringly obvious that it was made for Wanderer. The effects are as follows:

  • 2-Piece Set: 15% Anemo DMG Bonus.
  • 4-Piece Set: When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character’s Normal Attack SPD will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15s.

Now, you may wonder (or not) which characters suit this set the most, and I can say these 3 benefit the artifact the most: Wanderer, Xiao, and Shikanoin Heizou.
Wanderer is dependent on his Normal and Charged Attack, so it’s easy for him to activate the 4-piece bonus without any disruption to his attack cycle.

Xiao and Heizou, on the other hand, while they can take advantage of the artifact bonuses, you need to make sure they cast at least one Charged Attack every 15 seconds (or whenever they take over the field as DPS) to activate the 4-piece buff. Since these two rely on everything other than Charged Attack, you might need to adjust with the new attack pattern where you need to cast their Charged Attack first before anything else.

If you’re not interested in the 4-piece bonus, you can mix and match 2 of the Desert Pavilion Chronicle and 2 Viridescent Venerer for a full Anemo DMG bonus (30%).

Flower of Paradise Lost

For the second artifact, looks like it will benefit characters that can proc Dendro-related reactions, specifically Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon.

  • 2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
  • 4-Piece Set: The equipping character’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG are increased by 40%. Additionally, after the equipping character triggers Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, they will gain another 25% bonus to the effect mentioned prior. Each stack of this lasts 10s. Max 4 stacks simultaneously. This effect can only be triggered once per second. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

The best sentence from this artifact is how the effects can still be activated even when the wielder is not on the field, making it perfect for both on-field DPS and off-field support! Recommended characters to equip these artifacts are Nilou, Kuki Shinobu, Thoma, Nahida, and Yae Miko.

Since the Flower of Paradise Lost effects is especially for additional damage in trigger Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon, this means that characters that will trigger these reactions (aka support characters) can take full advantage of both 2-piece and 4-piece effects.
