Genshin Impact 3.3 Special Program Livestream Overview

There are many Travelers that miss the 3.3 live streams because they’ve been busy with real life, but don’t worry. This post will include all the information shared in the recent live stream. Those who do not have the time to watch the program can read this instead to not miss out on any valuable information!

Wish Banner

1. Phase 1

> There are 2 Event Wish in Phase 1:
1. From Ashes Reborn – Wanderer + Faruzan
2. Oni’s Royale – Arataki Itto + Faruzan

2. Phase 2

> There are 2 Event Wish in Phase 2:
1. Reign of Serenity – Raiden Shogun
2. Azure Excursion – Kamisato Ayato

New Characters

1. Wanderer

> Rarity: 5-Star
> Vision: Anemo
> Weapon: Catalyst
> Normal Attack: Normal Attack: Yuuban Meigen

> Elemental Skill: Hanega: Song of the Wind

  • The Wanderer can hover in the air when he casts his Elemental Skill. Upon using his Elemental Skill, he will first deal AoE damage before leaping into the air and entering a hovering state.
  • So while hovering, the Wanderer’s Normal and Charged Attacks will be converted into Kuugo: Fushoudan and Kuugo: Toufukai respectively. The damage they deal with and their AoE will be increased. Their damage will be considered Normal and Charged Attack damage, respectively.
  • Also, Kuugo: Toufukai will not consume Stamina and he can remain hovering for a certain duration
  • While hovering, the Wanderer constantly consumes Kuugoryoku Points to maintain his hovering state, which is the blue meter you see on the screen.
  • Even if he doesn’t move or attack, hovering will still consume Kuugoryoku Points. Sprinting mid-air will consume additional Kuugoryoku Points to accelerate mid-air, and holding the sprint button will cause persistent point consumption to maintain speed.
  • So this effect will replace his default sprint. Jumping expends extra Kuugoryoku Points to increase hovering height. Holding jump will cause persistent Kuugoryoku Point consumption to keep increasing hovering height. Of course, running out of points will end his hovering state.

> Elemental Burst: Kyougen: Five Ceremonial Plays

  • Compresses the atmosphere and stomps toward the enemies. If Wanderer is in a hovering state when using Elemental Burst, his hovering state will end.

> Exploration Talent: Strum the Swirling Winds

  • Reduced the Mora required when leveling up the Bow and Catalyst.

> Passive Talent: Jade-Claimed Flower

  • When casting his Elemental Skill, if it contacts Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro, that instance of the skill will receive a corresponding buff effect depending on which Element was contacted.
  • So for example, increasing his Kuugoryoku Points cap, Attack, CRIT Rate, or restoring a set amount of Energy upon hitting opponents with a Normal or Charged Attack. The Wanderer can have up to 2 different kinds of these buffs simultaneously.

> Passive Talent: Gales of Reverie

  • When the Wanderer is in the hovering state, if his Normal or Charged Attack hits an enemy, there is a set chance to gain another buff effect, allowing him to sprint mid-air without consuming Kuugoryoku Points. Additionally, this buff effect will fire wind arrows to attack the enemy

2. Faruzan

> Rarity: 4-Star
> Vision: Anemo
> Weapon: Bow
> Normal Attack: Normal Attack: Parthian Shot

> Elemental Skill: Wind Realm of Nasamjnin

  • Her Elemental Skill deploys a polyhedron that deals damage to enemies. After using her skill, her next Aimed Shot will become a special attack that creates a vortex, pulling nearby objects and opponents in.
  • And there’s also another thing about her special Charged Attack, it will create a vortex effect at its point of impact. And if the attack hits an enemy or ally member, it will apply a mark and create a vortex after a short delay.

> Elemental Burst: The Wind’s Secret Ways

  • In her Elemental Burst, she deploys a Dazzling Polyhedron and releases a Whirlwind Pulse. Throughout its duration, the Dazzling Polyhedron will continuously move along a triangular path. Once it reaches each corner of that triangular path, it will unleash 1 more Whirlwind Pulse.
  • When the Whirlwind Pulse hits opponents, it will decrease their Anemo Resistance. It will also apply an Anemo Damage buff effect to all nearby party members when it is unleashed. Travelers should note that the effective range of this buff is quite large and is not just within the Whirlwind Pulse itself. So there’s no need to go chasing the polyhedron.

> Exploration Talent: Tomes Light the Path

  • Gains more rewards when dispatched on a Sumeru Expedition for 20 hours.

> Passive Talent: Impetuous Flow

  • The time required for fully charging Faruzan’s next shot will be reduced and the arrow will reduce the target enemy’s Anemo Resistance.

> Passive Talent: Lost Wisdom of the Seven Caverns

  • When a team member uses Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, or Elemental Bursts to deal Anemo Damage to an enemy, the damage will increase based on Faruzan’s Base Attack. This effect can only be triggered once per a certain duration of time.

New Weapons

> Tulaytullah’s Remembrance (Catalyst) will only be available in the Weapon Banner. Its stat and materials ascension has been revealed in the live stream.

Passive Skill: Bygone Azure Teardrop

  • Normal Attack SPD is increased by 10%. After the wielder unleashes an Elemental Skill, Normal Attack DMG will increase by 4.8% every second for 14s. After hitting an opponent with a Normal Attack during this duration, Normal Attack DMG will be increased by 9.6%. This increase can be triggered once every 0.3s. The maximum Normal Attack DMG increase per single duration of the overall effect is 48%.

Weapon Ascension Materials

  • Echo of Scorching Might / Remnant Glow of Scorching Might / Dream of Scorching Might / Olden Days of Scorching Might
  • Inactivated Fungal Nucleus / Dormant Fungal Nucleus / Robust Fungal Nucleus
  • Fungal Spores / Luminescent Pollen / Crystalline Cyst Dust

New Artifacts

> There are 2 new artifact sets = 1 new domain.

Desert Pavilion Chronicle

  • 2-Piece Set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%.
    4-Piece Set: When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character’s Normal Attack SPD will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15 seconds.

Flower of Paradise Lost

  • 2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
  • 4-Piece Set: The equipping character’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG are increased by 40%. Additionally, after the equipping character triggers Blooms, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, they will gain another 25% bonus to the effect mentioned prior. Each stack of this lasts 10 seconds. Maximum of 4 stacks simultaneously. This effect can only be triggered once per second. The character who equips this can still trigger its effect when not on the field.

Archon Quest

“We ran into two people at the Akademiya today talking about an essay. Turns out their topic was about the Tatarasuna incident…”
“…From what they were saying, it sounded like lots of Tatarasuna’s history is still unexplained. And most of the information we have now is just from people filling the gaps with their imagination
At least, that’s what they thought…”
“Well, they guessed right about one thing: Tatarasuna was sabotaged”

  • Lots of Tatarasuna history are still unexplained and most we’d known are just a figment of other people’s imagination- supposedly. One thing was confirmed, Tatarasuna was sabotaged.
  • In this Interlude Chapter, Nahida will send Paimon and Traveler to watch Scaramouche when ascending to Irminsul in search of information.

New Events

1. Akitsu Kimodameshi

  • Travelers will have to control a bouncing bar to bounce a ball and use “Skill-Ball” effects to break as many bricks as possible. You will be able to trigger Elemental Reactions to break bricks more effectively.
  • We can control the character to move the bar. When the character we’re using is either Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro, the corresponding Element will be applied to the bar. You can play this event in Co-Op mode!
  • If a Skill-Ball is already infused by an element and it hits the bar, it will also trigger a reaction, causing the Skill-Ball to have some additional effects. When preparing your team, you can equip Modifiers to receive various buff effects which will help you successfully clear the challenge!

2. Across the Wilderness

  • Your objective is to collect balloons in a designated course. In this event, each stage will have “Wilderness Balloons” scattered all around. Travelers will need to find as many Wilderness Balloons as possible within the time limit to earn increasingly better rewards
  • During the challenge, Travelers will be able to utilize their characters’ Skills and Talents.
  • Travelers can also use something called the “Wilderness Compass” to obtain various buffs, which include enhanced jumping capabilities, increased movement speed, unlimited Stamina, etc.
  • However, you can only claim one type of buff during each challenge. You must consume “Blessed Energy” to use the compass and gain the selected buff.
  • You may charge the compass up by finding Wilderness Balloons or interacting with Blessed Energy in the challenge. Or you can always wait for the compass to passively charge over time.
  • This event can be played in Co-Op mode!

3. Windtrace

  • Hide and seek event. The new addition here is once a Rebel is captured, they can continue playing in Observer Mode by using the Illusory Beacon skill to plant random beacons around the area and bamboozle the Hunter. If your beacon successfully tricks the Hunter and is destroyed, then the Hunter will suffer an obscured vision effect.
  • Meanwhile, Hunter will gain a new skill: Hunter’s Net. The net will dispel the disguises used by Rebels in a specific AoE and destroys all Beacons in the area, but the Hunter will not suffer from obscured vision.
  • Rebel also gain another new skill called Concealing Beacon. You can place a Concealing Beacon and while near this beacon, the Rebels will be invisible and cannot be discovered by the Hunter until the Beacon is destroyed.
  • All players, including your Rebel teammates, will be unable to see you while you are invisible. If the Concealing Beacon is destroyed by the Hunter, then the Hunter will have their vision obscured for a short time.

4. Misty Dungeon: Realm of Sand

  • Finally, a combat event. A total of 7 challenges will be in this event, and each has a different Leyline Disorder. You can either use Trial Characters or your own characters to create a team and adjust according to the Leyline Disorder.
  • Similar to the previous Misty Dungeon, you need to find 3 Ancient Ruins and activate them.
  • After collecting power from 3 Ancient Runes, you can power up the control array and proceed to the Final Challenge.
  • Throughout the trial, additional “Benediction” mechanisms and challenges will appear, Travelers may choose to interact with these to increase the Ley Line Disorder’s effects or revive and heal your team.

5. Ley Line Overflow

  • Earn more Mora and Resin by receiving double the rewards when challenging the Leyline Overflow. But it is limited to 3 times per day.

New Gameplay (Genius Invokation TCG)

  • A constructed deck must contain 3 Character Cards, and these Character Cards have a Normal Attack, an Elemental Skill, and an Elemental Burst.
  • When a Character Card deals elemental damage to an enemy, it will cause them to be affected by that element. Then, you can switch to a Character Card of a different element and use their abilities to trigger an Elemental Reaction.
  • In Genius Invokation TCG, all actions require you to spend Elemental Dice. In each round, both you and your opponent will roll 8 Elemental Dice.
  • Each of these Elemental Dice can have any one of 8 elemental attributes: Pyro / Hydro / Cryo / Electro / Anemo / Geo / Dendro / Omni-Element.
  • For example, Pyro characters like Diluc needs to use Pyro / Omni-Element Dice to use his skills.
  • While playing Genius Invokation TCG, Travelers can earn Player Experience, which will increase your Player Level.
  • As your level increases, you’ll be able to challenge more characters and NPCs. By completing challenges, you may earn Lucky Coins, new cards, or other rewards
  • Lucky Coins can be exchanged in the Event Shop for cards or can even unlock Dynamic Skins for certain cards.
  • All Character Cards can unlock a Dynamic Skin! After unlocking that, there’ll even be a cool bonus animation whenever you cast that character’s Elemental Burst.
  • TCG can be played in Co-Op mode after reaching a high enough Player Level, but there will be no rewards if you win or lose, and there are also no leaderboards. Just casual competition.

          Also TCG card game look like unique game. I never play anymore this types game like card game but it’s animation of character, look like good. I don’t know how to play but i am also excited for this. Archon quest of v3. 3 is mysterious and story is 10/10 .

          So basically what I’m most excited about of 3.3 is first, the new 4 star sword that will be released. It looks so cute! Second, I also look forward to the ‘Misty Dungeons’ event. The last time this event was held, it was when I joined Genshin! I loved that event a lot since trying characters I don’t have is very cool (as a newbie that time). Moreover, althought i haven’t saved much, I’m excited to get Wanderer and Raiden Shogun!

Not to mention Wanderer and Faruzan will come to the game to bring back the hype for anemo team comp. Looking forward for another permanent end game content like Spyral Abyss.

      • For this version what im most excited about is my baby, my boy scara being finally playable!! Dude its been really a journey ever since he first appeared in game and honestly I’m so happy he got what he deserved and became the new character! Other than that I’m also curious about the TCG game mode, I’m a fan of card games myself so it will be really interesting to have that permanently!! Oh and also happy (belated) birthday !!

    • First of first. The Wonder seems to be an excellent puppet to explore and exploit places. The Genius Invokation TCG is something I thought never will happen since we had not gotten a permanent event, so seeing its permanent into the game, I will make sure to reach up the ranks and make the most powerful deck! (If you were to make your first deck, who and what will it contain?) Windtrace is also one of the most fun and anticipated event; with new maps and skills, many strategic idea’s can be made and Im looking forward to it. I have planned to save for the Staff of Homa, which is unknown when Hu Tao will have her rerun after more then a year. My plan to get both, is to “simply” 100% all of Sumeru and hopefully to have enough save by the time Hu Tao has her rerun. I enjoy sharing my thoughts about 3.3, and happy birthday to you Sora.

      • I am really excited about the rerun of Ei banner because I am looking forward to clear abyss with 36 stars *fingers crossed*.
        I have plenty of characters, sups and dpses, yet I still failed on the floor 12, even barely touch 1 star on each chamber
        I think the artifacts are not good enough yet, most characters only have 1-3 good artifacts each on them.
        My playstyle also could be improved, I’m not sure if I played correctly on the spiral abyss, could ask people how to do spiral abyss.

        Beside Ei rerun banner, I am also looking forward for new archon story quests, how is the progress of the traveller looking for his sister and The Wanderer story.

Tbh, I think this update isn’t that f2p-friendly but still, the archon quest of this version is gonna be promising, same with the main event. Other events looking great, but I don’t really like the windtrace event (it sucks). About the characters, wanderer is great and probably gonna open a new meta (I don’t have primos rip), Itto is also great along with scara, Raiden is exactly what I need, Ayato is also great. I hope TCG game isn’t gonna be a Yu-Gi-Oh Genshin version. Overall, this version is gonna be a hard time for f2p, but I’m looking for it!

    • I am really excited about the Windtrace and Akitsu Kimodameshi events. The reason is simple. That’s because I’m relatively new to Genshin (I’ve been playing since Ayato Banner on version 2.6) and had already missed so many events. The Windtrace event is one of them. When I first saw the gameplay of the Windtrace event, I thought that must be interesting. Lastly, I was excited about that event because I like the co-op event (even though I know that some people didn’t like the co-op event).

      Getting the cards is my top two in my favourite of this event list
      It’s great and the skins are fantastic I’m truly amazed and once again co-op

    • I am really excited about the rerun of Ei banner because I am looking forward to clear abyss with 36 stars *fingers crossed*.
      I have plenty of characters, sups and dpses, yet I still failed on the floor 12, even barely touch 1 star on each chamber
      I think the artifacts are not good enough yet, most characters only have 1-3 good artifacts each on them.
      My playstyle also could be improved, I’m not sure if I played correctly on the spiral abyss, could ask people how to do spiral abyss.

      Beside Ei rerun banner, I am also looking forward for new archon story quests, how is the progress of the traveller looking for his sister and The Wanderer story.

And because of me being a f2p I guess its hard to decide whether to pull for wanderer, raiden or ayato (i really need a hydro character, i only have barbara for Pete’s sake).

      So basically what I’m most excited about of 3.3 is first, the new 4 star sword that will be released. It looks so cute! Second, I also look forward to the ‘Misty Dungeons’ event. Anyways, the 3.3 update is the first update I’ll be looking forward to ever since I started playing the game back in 2.7 (Although I stopped after hitting ar20 HAHAHA, and returned on 3.1 because suddenly got friends to play with :>) I couldn’t watch the live because of the timezone difference :<, so I'm thankful that you actually included a lot of information regarding the update on your article.
