Genshin Impact brings back Childe’s character banner

Farewell of Snezhnaya banner

Genshin Impact announced in the 2.2 live stream Childe’s character banner would be getting another rerun. Since Childe is one of the only characters in the game with both a melee and ranged fighting stance, this is a good opportunity for travellers to add him to their team roster. Along with him, the Farewell of Snezhnaya banner will also see a drop rate increase for characters like Chongyun, Ningguang and Yanfei.

“Childe” Tartaglia

Childe first appeared in Genshin Impact as an antagonist during the Liyue story arc. Despite the role he played, since the release of his story quest Monoceros Caeli he has been a fan favourite.

Blessed with a Hydro vision, Childe is predominantly a bow user. When his elemental skill, Foul Legacy: Raging Tide, is activated, he switches to a melee stance where he uses dual hydro blades. In your team, he can either be a DPS or a Burst sub-DPS, depending on how you build him.

Constellation

His constellation is Monoceros Caeli which translates to Celestial Narhwal.

Foul Legacy: Tide Withholder (C1) decreases the cooldown of Childe’s elemental skill by 20%.

Foul Legacy: Understream (C2) regenerates 4 elemental energy for Childe every time an enemy affected by Raging Tide is defeated.

Abyssal Mayhem: Vortext of Turmoil (C3) increases the level of Childe’s elemental skill, Foul Legacy: Raging Tide, by 3. The maximum level is 15.

Abyssal Mayhem: Hydrospout (C4) will trigger either Riptide Slash or Riptide Flash on opponents affected by Riptide every 4 seconds while Childe is in his melee stance.

Havoc: Formless Blade (C5) increases the level of Childe’s elemental burst, Havoc: Obliteration by 3. The maximum level is 15.

Havoc: Annihilation (C6) resets the cooldown of Foul Legacy: Raging Tide when Childe uses his burst in the melee stance.

“Eclipsing Star” Ningguang

The Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, Ningguang introduced during the Liyue story arc. A woman who worked her way up from the bottom, she went on to build the magnificent Jade Chamber that overlooked all of Liyue.

A 4-star character, she was given a Geo vision (that she at one point tried to sell) and uses a catalyst as her weapon of choice. She can either play the role of the DPS or a Support.

Constellation

Ningguang’s constellation is the Opus Aequilibrium which means Balancing Creation.

Piercing Fragments (C1) deals AOE damage whenever Ningguang’s normal attack hits the enemi.

Shock Effect (C2) the CD of Jade Screen is reset every time it shatters. This effect occurs every 6 seconds.

Majesty Be The Array of Stars (C3) increases the level of Starshatter, her elemental burst, by 3. Maximum level is 15.

Exquisite Be The Jade, Outshining All Beneath (C4) increases nearby character’s elemental resistance by 10% when the Jade Screen is on the field.

Invincible Be The Jade Screen (C5) increases the level of Ningguang’s elemental skill, Jade Screen, by 3. Maximum level is 15.

Grandeur Be The Seven Stars (C6) gives Ningguang 7 star jades whenever Starshatter is used.

“Frozen Ardor” Chongyun

Chongyun is an exorcist from Liyue harbour. He was one of the first 4-star characters to be given a hangout event in Genshin Impact. Since then, he has been added to the main story a few times.

All of Chongyun’s attacks are infused with Cryo and he uses a claymore as his weapon of choice. Due to the nature of he skills, he is best suited as a Cryo DPS.

Constellation

His constellation is Nubis Caesor which means Cloud Cutter.

Ice Unleased (C1) releases three blades during the last attack in Chongyun’s normal attack sequence, each of them dealing 50% of his attack as Cryo DMG.

Atmospheric Revolution (C2) decreases the CD of all elemental skills and bursts cast within the field of his elemental skill, Spirit Blade: Chonghua’s Layered Frost.

Cloudburst (C3) increases the level of Chongyun’s elemental burst, Spirit Blade: Cloud Parting Star by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Frozen Skies (C4) regenerates 1 energy every time Chongyun hits an enemy affected by Cryo. This occurs every 2 seconds.

The True Path (C5) increases the level of Spirit Blade: Chonghua’s Layered Frost by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Rally of Four Blades (C6) deals 15% more damage to enemies during the elemental burst when their remaining HP is less than Chongyun’s. An additional spirit blade is also summoned.

“Wise Innocence” Yanfei 

Yanfei was added to Genshin Impact during the 1.4 update. While she is a child of an adeptus and a human, Yanfei was born during a peaceful time Liyue. Because of this, she is the only one of her kind to never pledge her loyalty to the Geo Archon, Morax. Right now, she works as a reliable lawyer with a good understanding of the law.

A Pyro user, when in battle Yanfei depends on a Catalyst to fight off enemies.

Constellation

Yanfei’s constellation is the Bestia Lustitia or the Beast of Justice.

The Law Knows No Kindness (C1) reduces the stamina cost for charged attacks by 10% when Yanfei uses a Charged Attack while she has a Scarlet Seal.

Right of Final Interpretation (C2) increases Yanfei’s Crit Rate by 20% for Charged Attacks when the enemies HP is below 50%.

Samadhi Fire-Forged (C3) increases the level of Signed Edict, Yanfei’s elemental skill, by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Supreme Amnesty (C4) creates a shield that absorbs damage up to 45% of Yanfei’s max HP for 15 seconds when her elemental burst Done Deal is used. The shield absorbs Pyro DMG 250% more effectively.

Abiding Affidavit (C5) increases the level of Done Deal by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Extra Clause (C6) increases the number of Scarlet Seals by 1.
