Good Stuff but Terrible Taste Quest Guide

A quest that is quite hard to complete as it didn’t mark any navigation on where to go to find all the puzzles. You have to find 6 different puzzles and help Salsa with her troubles.

➥ In this quest, you need to find 6 different puzzles across Fontaine to complete this quest. All puzzles are not marked on the map so you need to find them manually (meaning there’s no navigation). Follow the guide if you don’t want to explore mindlessly in Fontaine to complete this quest.

1st Puzzle

➥ Teleport to Statue of the Seven in Beryl Region and head south near the hot spring and a house. You will see a Crystal mechanism surrounded by Hilichurls and a canvas (That canvas is the indicator that you are at the correct location). Defeat the Hilichurls to unseal the Crystal mechanism and start the puzzle.

➥ So about the Crystal mechanism, there will be 2 colors to it: blue and orange. You need to hit it to change the color and change the available road so you can collect all the Hydro Particles (use a bow character since it will be too far away for your melee character to hit it).

➥ After the puzzle is completed, a treasure chest will appear and you need to claim it to make the NPC of the quest appear: Salsa. You will get a quest notification after talking to Salsa, but after completing the one request she asked you to do here, the quest notification will be marked as complete and you still need to find other puzzles manually.

➥ The task she wants you to do is to pick up the Crystal mechanism and place it in a suitable position, which is near the lamp post. Talk to Salsa again and the quest will be marked as complete and a new Viewpoint will appear on the spot where you see the canvas earlier.

2nd Puzzle

➥ Teleport to the Court of Fontaine northwest waypoint and head north until you see multiple Windmills Mechanisms and a canvas.

➥ The puzzle here is to simply use any Anemo character (Sayu would be the best) to make the Windmill spin and let out Hydro Particles. Do that to every Windmill and collect all the Hydro Particles to complete the puzzle. After that, claim the Exquisite Chest to meet Salsa and listen to her request again.

➥ This time, you need to pick up the Windmill that is not on top of any flowers and place it on the flowerbed. Talk to Salsa again to complete the quest for the second time and a new Viewpoint will appear on the spot where you see the canvas earlier.

3rd Puzzle

➥ Teleport to Elynas south waypoint and glide down from the mountain towards the west to the road. You will see multiple Water Volume Detection Crystals and a canvas.

➥ For this puzzle, you need to pick up the three Hydrograna near the Crystals to form a Hydro core, then approach the specific Crystals and move them in the correct order to complete the puzzle. Claim the spawned chest and make Salsa appear.

➥ For Salsa’s task, you need to pick up the Crystal in the middle of the road and place them near the bushes beside another Crystal. Talk to Salsa again and a new Viewpoint will appear on the spot where you see the canvas earlier.

4th Puzzle

➥ Teleport to the West Slopes of Mont Automnequi waypoint (right on top of the word) and head southwest and you will see another Water Volume Detection Crystals puzzle. This one is much easier though.

➥ First of all, collect 3 Hydrograna (there are 4 Hydrograna here) to form a Hydro Core and install it to the Crystal that does not have the Water Volume Detection mechanism on it.

➥ Then, take the remaining Hydrograna and go back to the Hydro Core so you can grow that sole Hydrograna into a Hydro Core.

➥ Lastly, head to the 2 mechanisms and light them up using your current Hydro Core to complete the puzzle (or you can use any Hydro characters with AoE damage and can reach the two mechanisms).

➥ For Salsa’s request, pick up the Crystal mechanism that is not on any flowers and place it on the flowerbed. Talk to Salsa again and a new Viewpoint will appear on the spot where you see the canvas earlier.

5th Puzzle

➥ Teleport to a waypoint west of Emperor of Fire and Iron and head to the shore at the east. The puzzle here is about Pneumousia Relay where you need to alter them to enter the balanced state. In case you never encounter this puzzle before:
Ousia: Purple color
Balanced: Green color
Pneuma: Yellow color
➥ You can take the Block near the mechanism and hit the Pneumousia Relay to change their state. Ousia can be changed to a Balanced state if you hit it with Pneuma Block, and vice versa with Pneuma.

➥ As mentioned before, there are 4 Pneumousia Relays here. Take the nearest Block to each mechanism and changed all the Relays mechanism until it enter the Balanced State (Green color).

➥ For Salsa’s task, you need to pick up the nearest Pneumousia Relay to the canvas and place it on the opposite side of the road. Talk to Salsa again and a new Viewpoint will appear on the spot where you see the canvas earlier. Now, all that is left is the finale.

Last Puzzle

➥ Teleport to Weapon Ascension Domain north of Court of Fontaine and turn north. You will see Hydro monuments with Hydro Slimes around it. Defeat them first.

➥ Collect 3 Hydrograna to form a Hydro Core and install it to the mechanism between two Hydro monuments.

➥ Then, collect the remaining Hydrograna and go near the Hydro Core to grow the Hydrograna (like in the 4th puzzle) and light up the last 2 Hydro monuments (or you can use any Hydro characters with AoE damage and can reach the two mechanisms).

➥ After taking the treasure chest, Paimon is the one that is uneasy about the arrangement and asks you to fix the scenery. Go to the buried Hydro monument and Lift it up. A new NPC (named Ubu) will appear, continuing with Salsa a few moments later.

➥ After the whole conversation with them, you will finally complete the quest and get a hidden achievement).
