Jean Quick TL;DR Healer and Support Build Guide

UPDATED FOR 2.0 😁!

PSA #1: Supports are there to help make the DPS’ job a “breeze,” and healers are just basically HM slaves. They either do their job or get benched into the Pokemon PC

PSA #2: Both Jean’s abilities scale with ATK (YES EVEN HER HEAL). She may look like nice gust of wind blowing by, but be careful because silent ninja farts are deadly (and so is she)

This is her passive. It’s what lets her be a consistent healer since dealing damage just heals your team. It’s a 2 for 1 bargain. THIS IS THE BREAD AND BUTTER OF HER HEAL
Jean apparently never got proper sword training, because she uses her sword like a fencing saber and just stabs the enemy

There are two ways to use her E:
1) Tap E: will just do a fast thrust that launches enemies back
2) Hold E: will pick up nearby enemies and let you choose where you want to launch them

Enemies who fall from holding E will take a percentage of their Max HP as damage

IMPORTANT TIP: If you hold E and release it while looking up, the enemies will not only take anemo damage from the skill, but also fall damage. THIS SKILL IS EXTREMELY GOOD AT CHEESING SMALLER MOBS BY SPARTA KICKING THEM OFF CLIFFS/DROWNING THEM IN WATER

Jean releases a gust of wind that creates a circle around her. I guess it must smell nice because all her party members heal, and the one who’s on the field get additional regen

Quick breakdown:
1) Activating Q will give a burst of heal to your team and also do damage to nearby enemies
2) Enemies who enter or leave the circle take damage (really funny PSA about this below!)
3) The character that is currently out will gain additional health regeneration until the circle goes away

PSA #3: This tip is entirely useless but hilarious. After you activate Jean’s Q, you can run to the edge of the circle and hold E to pick up enemies. Then, you can LITERALLY MOVE THEM IN AND OUT OF THE CIRCLE TO KEEP HURTING THEM. You can literally make the “why are you hitting yourself” joke with Jean

Makes Jean’s Q actually 64 energy cost

Talent Leveling Order: E > Q > Normal (Increasing her normal attack damage DOES NOT increase healing)

WEAPON #1 (Recommended for massive heals and damage): Aquila Favonia

How do I get it D: ? – It’s time to roll boys (gacha)

Has base Physical DMG% scaling and basically a buff to both your damage and heal output (takes Jean’s healing to another level)

WEAPON #2 (Recommended for F2P Support): Amenoma Kageuchi

How do I get it D: ? – Forge (Prototype x1, Amethyst Lump x50, White Iron Chunk x50)

Has base ATK% scaling and lets you get Q faster

Amenoma Kageuchi is a solid weapon for Jean among 4-stars due to 1) it helps her 80 cost Q not feed as bad (as at R1 it can provide 18 energy back after use), and 2) it has ATK% as it’s substat, allowing both Jean’s heals and damage to scale properly.

At R4+, Amenoma becomes considerably strong, as all you’ll need is the weapon proc (31.5 energy back) + 1 or 2 E’s (depending where your ER% is at) and you’ll have Q up again.

Otherwise weapons like Festering Desire, Favonius Sword, and The Flute will do just fine if you can’t craft Amenoma or have any other alternatives!

PSA #4: Prototype Rancour, Skyward Sword, and Fillet Blade are extremely good placeholders for Jean. If you have R2+ on any of these, they will do you just fine

ARTIFACT #1 (Recommended for healing): Maiden’s Beloved

How do I get it D: ? – Valley of Remembrance Domain (AR 30 locked, 20 Resin per run)

Increases her heal for everything!

If you really hate farming for this set, 2-set Maiden + 2-set Gladiator’s is honestly fine as well. Just be aware that 4-set Maiden is without a doubt the best for healing

ARTIFACT #2 (Recommended for support): Viridescent Venerer

How do I get it D: ? – Valley of Remembrance Domain (AR 30 locked, 20 Resin per run)

Boosts her E and Q damage + shreds enemy RES!

4-set VV will be the best option overall if you’re looking to mainly have Jean fulfill an Anemo character’s job — which is to shred enemy Elemental RES to w/e your main DPS’ element is. It’s also great overall for help with damage, especially in an EM comp like the Sunfire comp (comprising of running Bennett Q + Jean Q to have constant Pyro Swirl procs).

At early stages of the game, you can run Instructor or The Exile on her as well for supporting. For healing, stacking two +18% sets will do fine too

Main stats:

SandsGobletCirclet
ATK%ATK%Healing Bonus%

Substats: CRIT% > CRIT DMG > ATK (ATK% if not main stat) > ER/EM

If you want other characters let me know. Hope this helped. Bye.

I spend too much time filling out spreadsheets for incoherent data, but at least I can turn them into guides :P

    • This is a support/healer build for her, but you’re better off running 2x Pale + 2x Bloodstained (or 4x Glad) on her for DPS

  1. Thank you dude, since the new enemies on the newest island of Inazuma negate my Zhongli shield i’ll be using her in place of the Traveler in my party!
