New Version 2.1 Characters to Save For

Primogems are always hard to come by in Genshin Impact, especially when you’re at a higher AR. For F2P players, it’s important to know which characters they are saving for. That’s why, having an idea of who the next banner will feature makes this decision rather easy.

With the release of Inazuma, the game has a bunch of new characters to slowly add to its roster. As revealed by Genshin’s official twitter account, in the next update, the game will see a total of four new characters.

Sangonomiya Kokomi

The divine priestess of Watatsumi Island, Kokomi is the leader of the resistance against Baal’s vision hunt decree. She is claimed to be cunning and a brilliant military strategist. She is also the reason why the resistance has lasted for this long.

As seen during the Archon Quest: Chapter II: In the Name of the Resistance, Kokomi is likely to be a hydro vision holder with a catalyst as her weapon of choice.

Kujou Sara

Introduced in the archon quest, A Flower Blooms In Prison, Kujou Sara is the General of the Tenryou Commission. She is the one in-charge of seeing Baal’s Vision Hunt Decree through.

As an electro vision holder herself, Sara can be seen wielding a bow and arrow as her weapon of choice.

Raiden Shogun: Baal

Referred to as her eternal excellency , Baal is the Electro Archon as well as the Raiden Shogun of the Inazuma Bakufu. As the god of eternity, she started the Vision Hunt Decree, believing that visions should remain under the dominion of divinity. This was also her way of taking away power from anyone who threatened her eternal rule.

As seen during the Archon Quest: Chapter II: Amidst Stormy Judgement, Baal uses a polearm as her weapon of choice. However, she switches to a sword during what seems to be her burst. When released, she may be a duel-weapon wielder like Childe.

Aloy

A character spawned from a collaboration between Genshin Impact and Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy will be introduced in the game as a cryo vision holder who uses a bow and arrow during battle. She is, thankfully, not a character you will have to worry about rolling. While she will be made available to PlayStation users in the 2.1 update, other device users will be able to add her to their team in version 2.2. To claim Aloy, all you have to do is be at Adventure Rank 20.

While 2.1 will introduce only three new characters, all of them are interesting in their own right. Hopefully, the livestream for the next update will shine a new light on what these characters can do. Until then, you should decide who you want to roll for.
