The Sumeru Adventure Journal continues with the second volume after the first one introduces us to the situation of the Desert of Hadramaveth.
In this edition of Adventure Journal, we will introduce new enemies in the desert area.
P.S.: This edition only includes a presentation of certain enemies. We invite you to discover more content for yourself in the new version!

The Eremites

Everyone should know by now The Eremites are the ‘easy enemies’ in Sumeru. Now, they add another 2 variants in the Eremites section: Eremite Scorching Loremaster and Eremite Floral Ring-Dancer.

Judging by the beasts around their body, we can speculate that their skills may be the same as Eremite Galehunter and Eremite Stone Enchanter which can summon their own beasts when their HP reaches a certain threshold.

In addition, based on their color palette, Eremite Scorching Loremaster will high probably deal Pyro damage while the Floral Ring Dancer deals Dendro damage.

Consecrated Beast

Consecrated Beast is a lifeform that became twisted and warped by eating some great being. During combat, it will enter the powerful Phagocytic form. There are 3 types of Consecrated Beasts:
1. Consecrated Flying Serpent
2. Consecrated Scorpion
3. Consecrated Red Vulture

Same as the Eremites above, we can roughly guess what type of attack they will deal with based on their color palette. Flying Serpent may deal Anemo damage, Scorpion may deal Electro damage, and Red Vulture may deal Pyro damage. There is also some footage of Red Vulture’s attack in the previous live stream and we could see that they are the aggressive type of enemies that will often chase after our characters.

Some of the Consecrated Beasts’ attacks will unleash Phagocytic Energy Blocks. Use the corresponding elemental attacks to destroy these Energy Blocks to make the battle easier.
^ That is what is mentioned in the Sumeru Journal, but no images were given for us to know what the blocks look like. We can only wait for the update to know~

Boss: Setekh Wenut

Setekh Wenut is an apex predator deep in the desert that can use the power of Anemo to a certain extent, which allows it to leave the ground when in combat and enter a floating state.

While floating, it can fire Windbite Bullets. If these bullets are not destroyed in time, they will be converted into a high-density curtain of such bullets.

Attacks from elements that may react with Anemo can destroy Windbite Bullets. After 2 Windbite Bullets are destroyed in succession, the Setekh Wenut will be brought down from its floating state. Take the chance to defeat the Setekh Wenut!
