Tulaytullah’s Remembrance & Toukabou Shigure Weapon Overview

Genshin Impact released the full information of two new weapons in version 3.3 prior to its release. The first one is Tulaytullah’s Remembrance (5-Star Catalyst), and the second one is Toukabou Shigure (4-Star Sword). The catalyst obviously will only be available in the weapon banner, while the sword is a free reward after completing event tasks from the new event ‘Akitsu Kimodameshi.’ Without further ado, let’s get to know more about these weapons.

Tulaytullah’s Remembrance

Tulaytullah’s Remembrance is an exclusive 5-star catalyst, and will only be available in the weapon banner, and will never be featured in the standard wish banner. Here are its stats and passive skill based on level 90 and refinement rank 1:

• Base ATK: 674
• Secondary Stat (Crit DMG): 44.1%
• Passive Skill: Bygone Azure Teardrop

Normal Attack SPD is increased by 10%. After the wielder unleashes an Elemental Skill, Normal Attack DMG will increase by 4.8% every second for 14s. After hitting an opponent with a Normal Attack during this duration, Normal Attack DMG will be increased by 9.6%. This increase can be triggered once every 0.3s. The maximum Normal Attack DMG increase per single duration of the overall effect is 48%. The effect will be removed when the wielder leaves the field, and using the Elemental Skill again will reset all DMG buffs.

All these word floods may make you dizzy. In short, it will permanently increase the wielder’s Normal Attack Speed. And once the wielder cast their Elemental Skill, the weapon will increase their Normal Attack damage for 14 seconds (which is quite long and perfect for on-field DPS).

Recommended Characters for Tulaytullah’s Remembrance

1. Wanderer
2. Shikanoin Heizou
3. Klee
4. Yanfei

It is not a surprise that Wanderer is on the list. This catalyst is practically made for him, especially since we knew he relies on Normal and Charged Attack after he cast his Elemental Skill from the recent announcement.

Heizou is second on the list because he is also another Anemo Catalyst DPS. Not only can he take advantage of the passive skill, but the Crit Damage from the secondary stat also allows him to focus on getting Crit Rate on artifacts.

Klee and Yanfei are decent for Tulaytullah, but avoid pulling for this weapon just for these two. After all, The Widsith (4-Star weapon) exists, and that catalyst is enough to get maximum potential for F2P players.

Catalyst-user who specialized in supporting characters shouldn’t equip this weapon. Although the Crit Damage from this catalyst is appealing, its passive skill can’t provide any support for the team at all. They better be using Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers for that delicious 48% ATK bonus (Refinement 5).

Ascension Materials for Each Level

Toukabou Shigure

Toukabou Shigure and its refinement materials can be obtained from the event ‘Akitsu Kimodameshi.’ Since it’s not an exclusive weapon, it will not be available in the weapon banner and standard wish banner. Following are the example based on level 90 and refinement rank 1:

• Base ATK: 510
• Secondary Stat (Elemental Mastery): 165
• Passive Skill: Kaidan Rainfall Earthbinder

After an attack hits opponents, it will inflict an instance of Cursed Parasol upon one of them for 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 15s. If this opponent is taken out during Cursed Parasol’s duration, Cursed Parasol’s CD will be refreshed immediately. The character wielding this weapon will deal 16% more DMG to the opponent affected by Cursed Parasol.

In short, this weapon will inflict a Cursed Parasol state on any one of the opponents’ hits. The wielder will deal more damage to the opponents that are affected by the Cursed Parasol. If the affected enemy is killed during the Cursed Parasol duration, the cooldown of the passive skill will immediately refresh and the next opponent hit by the wielder will gain the Cursed Parasol effect.

Recommended Characters for Toukabou Shigure

1. Kaedehara Kazuha
2. Kuki Shinobu
3. Dendro Traveler

Once you heard Elemental Mastery, most would think of Kazuha, and you’re not wrong. This weapon is great for him, especially since we can get Refinement 5 from the event alone. Toukabou Shigure may be able to surpass Iron Sting for F2P players. But don’t forget to give him the much-needed Energy Recharge so Kazuha can use his Elemental Burst consistently.

Another character that greatly benefits Elemental Mastery would be Kuki Shinobu in Hyperbloom teams. After all, her Elemental Skill is perfect for triggering the Hyperbloom reactions. The reason she suits this sword is that her Sanctifying Ring’s abilities will be boosted based on her EM.

Dendro Traveler suits Toukabou Shigure just as much as they suit any Energy Recharge sword. In my opinion, ER sword is better for DMC (so they can consistently cast Elemental Burst), but if you want them to do decent damage, then you can equip this weapon for them to stack that Elemental Mastery.
