Venti Quick TL;DR Support Build Guide – Version 2.6 – April 2022

UPDATED FOR 2.6 😁!

PSA #1: Support’s job is to make DPS’ job much easier. Pretty much the wing man of the team if juicy damage numbers were a lady

PSA #2: Both Venti’s abilities scale off ATK. This is what you can, and should, see when you slap on some damage

As the God of Anemo, you would expect some hurricane level catastrophe, but what you get is a small, gentle breeze that lifts enemies up bro…

You generally don’t ever want to Hold E. Tapping E is much more spammable and great for energy regeneration

If you hold E, the breeze you spawn under you creates a small updraft you can glide on (CAN BE USED TO DODGE ENEMY ATTACKS)

IMPORTANT TIP: You can animation cancel E by Normal Attacking immediately after it casts for free damage!

  • Tap E: will create the current in front of you, targeting an enemy and has a shorter CD (much better to use!)
  • Hold E: will create the current directly under you, throwing you into the air and has a longer CD

BOTH variations will still cause Swirl procs but it doesn’t last too long, so make sure you use them AFTER a consistent elemental skill has been activated (like Fischl E, Xiangling E, Kaeya ult, etc…)

Venti gathers all his pent up frustration and literally causes a category 5 hurricane, sucking up every enemy nearby it (honestly it even sucks up enemies far as hell away)

The Q can enhance the elemental DMG of whatever element gets infused, but it’s not very picky on what it picks up. This means if you Q an enemy with an element infused (for instance Slimes), the Q will most likely be infused with that element rather than the one you want to add.

A great way to prevent this is to apply your element first BEFORE using Venti Q. This isn’t a surefire method, but it’s more consistent than just simply gambling

As if his energy regeneration wasn’t stupid enough already, after using his ultimate both Venti and his team get some juice back

What this means is:

  1. Venti’s Q is actually a 45 cost burst
  2. Team member who proc’s the infused swirl gets 15 energy

While you should be trying to cause elemental reactions whenever you can with Venti, save them for his ultimate. His ultimate serves as not only (probably the best) CC in the game, but also a damage buffer! Also his ultimate is extremely spammable, so use it whenever its up

Talent Leveling Order: E = Q > Normal

WEAPON #1 (Recommended for best Supporting): The Stringless

How do I get it D: ? – It’s time to roll boys (gacha)

Has base Elemental Mastery scaling and the bow’s weapon skill allows for your E and Q to not “blow” so much (get it, like blowing air?)

The Stringless is one of Venti’s best weapons (arguably the best in slot) since the burst DMG bonus also affects the constant slashing Anemo damage in the Q. Not to mention it provides a nice chunk of EM and extremely easy to R5 for maximum Skill + Burst bonuses

Elegy of the End is also extremely good for Venti, but unfortunately Venti does not benefit from the ATK buff (only the EM buff) since his Q is a snapshot and not dynamic. It would be listed as BiS if not for the fact that it’s a 5-star weapon, as well as incredibly hard to maximize it’s buffs consistently.

Windblume Ode is a decent EM placeholder, and can provide a juicy ATK buff periodically. Great alternative if you don’t have Stringless!

Sacrificial Bow/Favonius Warbow are decent, but you won’t really need help with energy (since Venti is a walking battery), and you his E doesn’t need a hard reset to spam to begin with!

ARTIFACT #1 (Recommended for best Supporting): Viridescent Venerer

How do I get it D: ? – Valley of Remembrance Domain (AR 30 locked, 20 Resin per run)

Scales your Anemo damage, but the big bang for your buck is that Swirl now reduces enemy resistance for the element you toss in there. The wind becomes so strong it literally strips your enemy’s clothes off

4x Viridescent is the only time artifact set that I will ever say is ABSOLUTELY necessary to turn Venti into a late-game face puncher. Literally you will have a “how it feels to chew 5 gum” moment when you try this set out. Not only does it deal additional Anemo DMG, but also buffs Swirl on top of reducing an enemy’s resistance to the Swirl’d element… It’s such a strong set for generally any Anemo support!

You can run a combination 2x Exile + 2x Scholar for even faster ultimate charge early on. Noblesse Oblige isn’t the greatest fit on Venti, but can be a great placeholder 4x set until you can farm out proper substats for your Viridescent pieces!

Main stats:

SandsGobletCirclet
ATK% or EMAnemo DMG%CRIT%/CRIT DMG or EM

Substats: EM > ER% ATK% > CRIT%/CRIT DMG

If you want other characters let me know. Hope this helped. Bye.

I spend too much time filling out spreadsheets for incoherent data, but at least I can turn them into guides :P

  1. Do you think the Windblume bow is better than stringless or should stringless be stuck with? I also do have the skyward harp so…Idunno which of those to go with.
