Version 1.6: Midsummer Island Adventure Preview

Genshin Impact’s next major update version 1.6: Midsummer Island Adventure Preview is coming on June 9, 2021! Here is a quick summary of the new content; from a flashy new character, outfits, events, and more! Remember to claim extra rewards:

New Character and Archon Quest

A new five star Anemo, sword-wielding character Kazuha will be unveiled in this update. He is from the currently unreleased nation of Inazuma, and you will see a glimpse of his background in the new Archon Quest Chapter II: “Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves”. It looks like he will be more suited for a support role, but the beauty of the game is that any character can be viable however you build them!

New Outfits

The first two characters in Genshin Impact to receive a skin are Jean and Barbara with a new fresh, summer theme outfit.

Sea Breeze Dandelion

The shop will offer a limited-time discount of 1350 Genesis Crystals during Version 1.6 and will cost 1680 Genesis Crystals afterwards (approximately $20 USD).

Summertime Sparkle

Barbara’s new outfill will be available for free as a reward from the Echoing Tales event, and will cost 1680 Genesis Crystals afterwards (approximately $20 USD).

New Equipment

Freedom-Sworn

The five star sword made just for the new character Kazuha.

Dodoco Tales

A four star catalyst available for free and exclusively from the Midsummer Island Adventure event. You can also refine it up to its maximum level during this event. It is great for the likes of Klee, Yanfei, Mona, and Ningguang!

Mitternachts Waltz

Fischl’s signature four star bow, available only via the wish.

Legend of the Vagabond Sword

The gate to an unknown domain has opened, and within it await powerful, heretofore unseen foes.

Echoing Tales

Collect the Echoing Conches scattered throughout the archipelago to obtain rewards, such as Barbara’s outfit, Summertime Sparkle!

Never-Ending Battle

Enemies of unknown origin have come ashore the archipelago, intent on taking this seaborne paradise for themselves. Beat them back in one fell swoop!

Kaboomball Kombat

The endlessly-amusing, ball-launching Dodofortresses have been activated! Use your Dodoguard to reflect and return the Kaboomballs they fire and take victory in Kaboomball Kombat!

Maguu Kenki

A mechanical humanoid from another nation. Wields a secret blade of a kind that only a mechanical being ever could, crushing all who disturb the silence with razor-sharp wind and ice as frigid as steel.
