Gameplay Details
1) Complete the Event Quest

➥ Teleport to Byakko Plain in Inazuma and follow the quest navigation until you reach the Swordfighting Arena. We’re gonna meet Ayaka in this quest, but she’s still in her Inazuman outfit, not the Fontaine dress. A special waypoint will be unlocked during the event so you can teleport to the domain easily.
2) Choose your Opponent

➥ There are a total of 6 challenges, and each will be unlocked per day starting on the first day of the event. Each of the warriors you will face has a different set of sword techniques, including ordinary techniques that they will use often and exceedingly powerful but less often used Ultimate Techniques. When choosing your challenger (the stage), you can check your opponent’s techniques via the menu to better understand their technique and make it easier to emerge victorious.

➥ For each warrior will be different difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Pro. By completing a higher-difficulty duel, you can claim rewards for each difficulty below it. But by default, the Pro will be locked until you completed the Hard mode.
3) Parry & Honed Techniques

➥ You will be unable to use Elemental Skills or Bursts during these duels, but you will obtain new abilities: a Parry and Honed Techniques. When using Parry, the Traveler will raise their weapon in a defensive stance, greatly decreasing DMG taken. Parry has a fixed CD.
➥ You will use different Honed Techniques to deal with different opponents. To use those techniques, you need to accumulate Spirit. How to accumulate Spirit?
1. Hitting opponents with Normal and Charged Attacks
2. Performing Parries successfully will help you accumulate Spirit, which will also
3. Spirit will accumulate slowly over time.
➥ Once it finishes accumulating, you can actively use Honed Techniques. You can save 2 uses of Honed Techniques before using them.

➥ If you get the timing right and Parry just as your opponent is striking, you can completely eliminate any DMG that would be done to you and will reset Parry’s CD. Completing such a ‘Perfect Parry’ against your opponent’s normal techniques will cause you to accumulate more Spirit.

➥ When each warrior is about to use their Ultimate Technique, their weapon will shine brightly. Perfectly Parry these techniques to unleash powerful counterattacks to accumulate large amounts of Spirit, then use your own Honed Techniques at the right moments to seize victory!
Warrior’s Spirit Duel
1) Ibuki

➥ For Ibuki, since he is the first challenger, there is nothing special about his Skills. All you need to do is Parry every attack and Ultimate every time he did any.
Your Honed Techniques: Stance of Impregnability
➥ Enter a special defensive state: Upon hit, a Perfect Parry will automatically be triggered (even without you pressing E) that deals counterattack DMG to the opponent. This state will be removed after triggering three Perfect Parries or having lasted for 15 seconds.
2) Hirotatsu

➥ Hirotatsu has a Normal Attack that’s very annoying which is slashing forward twice in a row. Watch out every time he raises his sword above his head, he will usually continue with the two slashes in a row attack that will be hard for you to parry, especially Perfect Parry.

➥ His Ultimate is still the same blue light on their weapon, and it is much easier to Perfect Parry it so I trust you won’t have many problems with that skill.

3) Younan

➥ Younan has a small round bar just below his health. The bar will be filled each time you attack him, and once the bar is full, he will unleash his Ultimate- charge his spear for a moment before spinning forward twice. Once you see the blue glowing light on his weapon, immediately use Parry to block the attack.

Your Honed Techniques: Formidable Strike
➥ Perform a powerful strike that deals a considerable amount of Physical DMG to the opponent nearby.
4) Taroumaru

➥ This boy loves, loves, copying Xiao and stabbing his weapon to the ground. While Parry-ing this move is easy, Perfect Parry-ing is quite hard. But once you manage to strike Taroumaru down from his sword, that’s the moment you should spam attacks because the damage he takes will be increased (while when he’s on his sword stabbing the ground, he has very high resistance).

For Taroumaru’s Ultimate, he will howl(?) a bit before doing his Ultimate so you will have the opportunity to ready the Parry, but the blue light signal is very short so you need to start Parry right after you see that light. Once you successfully Parry it, Taroumaru will fall down again, taking more damage.

Your Honed Techniques: Formidable Strike
➥ Perform a powerful strike that deals a considerable amount of Physical DMG to the opponent nearby.
5) Akatsuki Saemon Juuzou

➥ Akatsuki loves to use 3-combo attacks that actually pretty easy to Parry, you can spot it when he’s fired up and start to jump. The problem is he takes so little damage whenever you attack him. So the best option here is to accumulate Spirit quickly (by Parry) so you can use the Honed Technique to deal massive damage, disabling his swift retreat movement and consecutive aggressive strikes.

Your Honed Techniques: Ferocious Combo Lashes
➥ Enter a special attacking state: Upon using Normal or Charged Attacks, a blade wave will be unleashed that deals Physical DMG to the opponent hit. This state will be removed after 6 seconds. Once you use this technique, immediately spam your Normal Attack to the opponents. Don’t worry about their attacks because once the blade wave deals damage to them, they will also be staggered!
6) Maguu Kengou

➥ Lots of unfair consecutive attacks that your Parry will be able to catch up on but requires strict timing. I’ve recorded a video of it and will be posting it on my Twitter account. But if you find it too hard and a hassle, you can always Parry once and then just dodge the incoming damage.

➥ Similar to Younan (day 3), Maguu also has a small round bar just below its health. The bar will be filled each time you attack it, and once the bar is full, it will unleash its Ultimate- Enters Iai stance and charges, dragging you into its area of effect, before quickly slashing around itself, dealing Anemo DMG. The phantom appears close to the Maguu Kenki and slashes over a larger area, dealing Cryo DMG. This one is quite easy to Parry especially if you Perfect Parry it, the phantom won’t have the chance to appear and deal damage.

➥ For the Difficulty: Pro, it’s even worse because Maguu will have its shield up 100% of the time, making it impossible for you to deal any damage. However, your attack does fill its Ultimate bar, which is actually a good thing because if you Perfect Parry it, you can accumulate Spirit faster and use the Honed Techniques to deal damage. But, you can still deal minuscule damage if you attack from its behind because the shield won’t be able to block your attack from behind!

➥ Since this Honed Technique is the only thing that can hurt Maguu Kenki in the Pro difficulty, here’s a tip. Once you activate your Honed Techniques, use Normal Attack 3x > Dodge > Normal Attack 3x > Repeat. This way, you won’t waste the skill because it’s only available for 6 seconds and Traveler’s 4th Normal Attack Hit takes a lot of milliseconds to attack after the 3rd hit.
Gameplay Rewards

➥ Don’t forget to manually claim your rewards from the event page. By completing all the event challenges, you will get the following rewards:
1. 420 Primogems
2. 18 Hero’s Wit
3. 300000 Mora
4. 24 Mystic Enhancement Ore
5. 12 Weapon Ascension Materials
6. 12 Talent Books
Can you add a small guide on how to get Achievements from Maguu Kengou easier here than on the standard world boss?
Is it the “If I Run Fast Enough…”?
