Windwheel Aster is a Mondstadt local speciality used for character ascension. These plants usually grow together and up to four of them can be found in one location.
Follow this guide to pin down all their locations and make farming easier for yourself.
A plant that adores the wind. To the proud children of the wind, or the citizens of Mondstadt, the Windwheel Asters are “the visible winds.”
Windwheel Aster can be found in three distinct locations in Mondstadt –
- Dawn Winery
- Stormterror’s Lair
Teleport to the Statue of the Seven in Windrise to begin your search. Once you’re there, you’ll find that most of the flowers grow near the statue itself and the lake behind. You’ll also find a batch of them as you proceed towards the beach.
Most of the flowers don’t grow near enemy camps so your search should be more or less peaceful. However, you may find the occasional Hydro and Dendro slime in the area.
When you teleport to Dawn Winery, you’ll find all the Windwheel Aster growing around the Statue of the Seven. In one location, there will be up to three or four flowers so definitely don’t want to miss out on this location.
There won’t be enemies in this area. Instead, as you farm for Windwheel Asters, you’ll also find Crystalflies.
Most of the Windwheel Asters can be found in Stormterror’s Lair. Unlike the previous locations though, this place is huge so it may take a while before you have all the flowers.
Start from the Waypoint at the entrance of the lair and then pick a direction. The idea is to go around the entirety of Stormterror’s Lair to get everything. But since not everyone may have time for that, follow the markers on the map above and teleport around the lair as you see fit.
This way, you should have all your flowers in no time.
Keep in mind that you may run into Hilichurls and Slimes since some of the flowers are located near their camps.
You won’t find Windwheel Aster in any shops in Mondstadt nor does Chlrois carry any. Instead, teleport to Liyue Harbor.
Over there, search for the NPC named Chunshui. You can find her on the northern wharf during the day. As you engage in conversation with her, ask her if she worships the Anemo Archon. Once you’re done talking to her, she’ll give you 5 Windwheel Asters.
Finally, thanks to the addition of the gardening system, you can grow your own Windwheel Aster.
To do so, you’ll need a Luxurious Glebe which can be purchased from the teapot shop along with the flower seeds. Once you’ve made your purchase, plant your seeds and within 2 days and 22 hours, you’ll have your Windwheel Aster.
