Spiral Abyss Floor 5 Complete Guide

Ley Line Disorder

  • When your character’s HP is greater than 50%, ATK and DEF are increased by 25%.
  • When HP is greater than 80%, Normal Attack SPD is increased by 20%.

Tons of buffs can be obtained if your team has HP above 80% = higher ATK, DEF, and Normal Attack SPD. You definitely need to bring at least one healer or shielder to make sure your characters are in tip-top condition and can gain the buffs.

Team Recommendation

Team Example 1

Starting from Floor 5, you need to bring 2 teams, one for each half of the floor. A complete F2P team can be seen above as all characters can be obtained for free via Quest, Abyss, etc. It’s recommended for your characters’ level to be above Level 55 so you can have an easier time completing the floor.
Beware that the first-half team can’t trigger any elemental reactions because lack of other reactions like Hydro/Cryo/Electro. Thus, you can swap Amber with any character of said elements. But make sure to bring at least one Pyro character to deal with Cryo Slimes.
Meanwhile, the second-half team is good as it is, but having an Anemo CC is also a great option to consider for gathering mob in certain chambers. But, definitely bring at least one Hydro character to deal with Pyro Abyss Mage. Another team example can be seen below:

Team Example 2

Floor 5 Chamber 1

Enemy LevelChallengeTotal Time
55✩ – Finish before 3:00
✩✩ – Finish before 5:00
✩✩✩ – Finish before 7:00
10:00 minutes

First Half

  • When you start the challenge, all enemies are Cryo Slimes. Just focus on using your Pyro attacks to shred the Cryo shield on the Large Cryo Slime while also triggering Melt. You should prioritize the Large Cryo Slime before the small ones because the former has huge HP and ATK.
  • After an enemy dies, another opponent will continuously spawn until all 20 of them are out. There will be Electro Hilichurl Shooters at some point so make sure you focus on those Hilichurls when they arrive because they won’t move to your location, unlike the Slimes.
Freezing Filament: An ice claw-shaped cage will appear from the foot of the on-field character and deal Cryo DMG per second when a character touches them.
  • When the last Large Cryo Slime appears, you should notice its Cryo Damage Ability (Freezing Filament) that will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds. This cage deals huge damage to your character so try your best to dash out from the cage before it can trap you.

Second Half

Smoldering Flames: Deals 0.6 × Level Multiplier as Pyro DMG per second. This DMG does not apply Pyro.
  • There is only one wave of enemy here and it’s 2 Pyro Abyss Mages. One of them has a Smoldering Flame Aura that can deal damage to your character that was afflicted with the debuff (The aura will release a pulse every 15 seconds to inflict debuff).
  • You can remove the debuff with a cleanse skill like Barbara’s Skill, Bennett’s, and Jean’s Elemental Burst.
  • Make sure to focus on the Abyss Mage with the Aura as it can deal lots of damage if you don’t cleanse it.

Floor 5 Chamber 2

Enemy LevelChallengeTotal Time
55✩ – Finish before 1:30
✩✩ – Finish before 3:00
✩✩✩ – Finish before 4:00
10:00 minutes

First Half

  • In this chamber, there will be a Cryo Elemental Node that provides 100% DEF to enemies every 15 seconds (can be seen by the Cryo sheen and buff animation).
  • You can remove those debuffs by triggering elemental reactions on them, which is easy because they will be inflicted with Cryo once they receive the buff (meaning you can trigger Melt with your Pyro characters).
  • All the enemies here love to sprint far from each other so you will have a hard time catching up to all of them unless you bring an Anemo CC. If you don’t bring any, focus on the mobs that rarely move from their initial position like the Potioneers.

Second Half

  • In this chamber, there will be a Pyro Elemental Node that provides 40% ATK to enemies every 15 seconds (can be seen by the Pyro sheen and buff animation).
  • You can remove those debuffs by triggering elemental reactions on them, which is easy because they will be inflicted with Pyro once they receive the buff (meaning you can trigger Vaporize/Burn/Melt/Overload with your elemental characters).
  • Similar to the first half, all the enemies here are also scattered and can only be gathered with Anemo CC. But if you don’t bring any, focus on the nearest enemies and let the others slowly walk to your spot.

Floor 5 Chamber 3

Enemy LevelChallengeTotal Time
55✩ – Finish before 3:00
✩✩ – Finish before 5:00
✩✩✩ – Finish before 7:00
10:00 minutes

First Half

Engulfing Storm Aura: Drains 5 Energy every 3 seconds.
  • Electro Cicin Mage has an Engulfing Storm Aura that will release a pulse every 15 seconds and drain your characters’ energy. You can’t really avoid it because the aura has a large AoE and you need to be close to enemies to hit them (unless you bring a machine gun character like Ganyu).
  • The only option here is to defeat the Cicin Mage first and spam all your Burst before the Aura can hit you the first time to not waste it.
  • Electro Cicin has an Ultimate attack that will be activated after 40 seconds where she absorbs all summoned Cicins, gains an Electro shield, and flies in your characters’ direction while also continuously dealing with Electro DMG.
  • Your Pyro attacks should be able to remove her Electro shield fast, and you can also use Amber’s Baron Bunny to Taunt her and chase after the puppet instead of you until the shield depletes gradually over 12 seconds.

Second Half

Tracking Fire Ball Aura: A fireball will trace the on-field character and deal Pyro DMG per 0.7 seconds to the character in range. The attack has 3 waves and the duration is 1.6 seconds per wave.
  • Although the Fatui Pyro Agent has an Aura that can deal quite a decent Pyro DMG to your character, it’s better to focus on the Electro Potioneers first. This is because aside from their attacks can interrupt you, the combination of their Electro and the Agent’s Pyro can trigger an Overload reaction that can knock back your characters.
  • Of course, it’s best if you can gather all 3 of them at one spot using Anemo CC and attack all of them simultaneously.
