Where His Life Lies Quest Guide

This quest is yet another continuation of Garcia and Lutong’s story, but this time, it takes place in Fontaine. With that said, you must complete the whole of Garcia’s World Quest (starting from Liyue) to the Daily Commission in Sumeru. Only after that can you start this World Quest in Fontaine.

How to Start Where His Life Lies Quest in Genshin Impact

First of all, make sure you have Garcia’s Paean: A Gift of Compatibility as Claimed in the Sumeru Quests Reputation. This means you already complete every Garcia’s past quests.

Then, you can start the quest by talking to Garcia in Court of Fontaine: Court Region Waterway Hub (the area in the middle of Court of Fontaine). When you get near the area, there should be a quest icon on the mini-map. Don’t forget about the requirements beforehand (Garcia’s Daily Commissions in Sumeru) or the quest will not be triggered.
UPDATE: There are many players who already completed all previous Garcia quests, already waiting for a daily reset, but still did NOT spawn Garcia in the waterway hub. I’m still searching about that and will update this post if I find anything. If you know if there are any other requirements, please drop a comment below.
UPDATE: Based on the trustworthy content creator, KyoStinV, he mentioned the requirements below to obtain this quest:
1) Archon Quest Chapter 4 Act 5
2) Garcia’s Paean – A Gift of Compatibility
3) After completing (1), 2 times in total between these 2 quests: Substitutes or Garcia’s Paean: Key Items.
4) Wait for 1 daily reset.

After triggering the quest, you just follow the navigation because there are no puzzles at all and you can complete this easily (There’s a lot of conversation here). But that’s not the end! After you complete the quest, wait until a daily reset and you will get a follow-up quest, also in Court of Fontaine.

The follow-up quest is called Daydreams Beyond Space and Time and you can complete it without any guidance (just follow the navigation) because it’s just full of dialogues. You’ll need to bring the Daydream Club to the Ancient Sea to confirm their dream, and after that, you will complete the quest and get a hidden achievement In Those Ruins of Dreams.
