A Wangshan Walk to Remember Quest Guide

A new short and sweet quest guide that will unlock a hidden area behind a huge gate. In this quest, we will learn about the Guhua Clan (whom Xingqiu associates with) and get nearly scammed by the NPC. There is also one Spirit Carp inside this locked area so I dare say it’s quite an important quest.

A Wangshan Walk to Remember

Teleport to Mt. Lingmeng south waypoint and once you’ve arrived, you can see the huge closed white gate in front of you. Talk to Wen the Fourth near the gate to start the quest.
There are also other ways to start this quest, like talking to Huang the Third in Yilong Wharf or knocking on the huge gate, but I’ll just include Wen the Fourth here because it’s nearer the gate.

Follow Huang the Third to the site of the trial. Before you can enter Wangshan Hall, you need to complete the trial by Huang the Third. The trials themselves are not that hard; for the first trial, you just need to jump on top of poles within the time limit.

For the second trial, you need to defeat all the dummies in red within the time limit. Do not hit any of the dummies dressed in blue. It’s better if you use a character with a small area of weapon-swinging like Polearm or Sword instead of Claymore and Catalyst. I actually hit one in blue but still passed the test.

Open Wangshan Hall’s gates, or just interact with the door to unlock this new area. Inside the hall, you can explore the area for some clues to the ‘treasure chest,’ indicated by the glowing yellow spot. Once you’re done, talk to Huang the Third to continue the tour.

When it’s time to make dishes, you can choose any options when inserting the ingredients into the pot. In the end, you will put everything in anyway as Paimon instructs (that’s a lot of salts omg). Give the dish to Huang the Third.

Scrolls and Sword Manuals of Guhua

Enter the Arcane Archive. Just interact with the door and it will open automatically. Inside the archive is a puzzle you need to complete.

First, destroy the spider cobweb and interact with the book “Guhua Notes” on the ground. Read it until the end to activate the puzzle.

Now, to find the secret stashed in the Arcane Archive. Use your Elemental Sight to see the colors of books and slots. There are a total of 4 books and 5 slots. 4 of the slots have either a yellow, purple, green, or blue border. The 4 books are also these same colors but in the wrong places.

To complete this puzzle, swap them around and match the books to their corresponding slot (yellow in yellow, etc.) Use the colorless slot as a placeholder as you swap around the others. After you’re done, just activate the mechanism in the middle of the room.

Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero

Once the water level drops, follow the quest navigation until you reach the last room inside the Wangshan Hall. There will be a trial you need to complete after this, so equip your best team as it’s a combat challenge. The last bosses are 2 Geovishap, Pyro and Electro.

Interact with the mechanism on the platform in the middle of the room and defeat all the enemies. There are also water blades aiming at you during the trial so look out for the red line that indicates the direction of said water blades.

After you complete the trial, follow the navigation again until you reach the back door of the Wangshan Hall and complete the quest.
