Yae Miko Character Guide

An in-depth analysis of Yae Miko with her best builds. Includes artifacts, weapons and team recommendations.

The head shrine maiden in charge of Grand Narukami Shrine and a descendant of Kitsune lineage, Eternity’s servant and friend, and the intimidating editor-in-chief of Yae Publishing House, a publisher of light novels…

Name: Yae Miko
Rarity: ★★★★★
Vision: Electro
Weapon: Catalyst

Birthday: 27th June
Region: Inazuma
Affiliation: Grand Narukami Shrine

Normal Attack: Summons forth kitsune spirits, initiating a maximum of 3 attacks that deal Electro DMG.

Statistics:

Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Electro DMG after a short casting time.

Statistics:

Plunging Attack: Plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path with thunderous might. Deals AoE Electro DMG upon impact with the ground.

Statistics:

Has the following properties:

  • Periodically strikes one nearby opponent with lightning, dealing Electro DMG
  • When there are other Sesshou Sakura nearby, their level will increase, boosting the DMG dealt by these lightning strikes.

This skill has three charges. A maximum of 3 Sesshou Sakura can exist simultaneously. The initial level of each Sesshou Sakura is 1, and the initial highest level each sakura can reach is 3. If a new Sesshou Sakura is created too close to an existing one, the existing one will be destroyed.

Statistics:

Legends of “kitsunetsuki,” or the manifestation of a kitsune’s might, are common in Inazuma’s folktales. One that particularly captures the imagination is that of the Sky Kitsune, said to cause lightning to fall down upon the foes of the Grand Narukami Shrine. Summons a lightning strike, dealing AoE Electro DMG.

When she uses this skill, Yae Miko will unseal nearby Sesshou Sakura, destroying their outer forms and transforming them into Tenko Thunderbolts that descend from the skies, dealing AoE Electro DMG. Each Sesshou Sakura destroyed in this way will create one Tenko Thunderbolt.

Statistics:

Suggested Talent Levels
This is by no means an exact guide on what is best – this is just my personal suggestion.

When casting Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin, each Sesshou Sakura destroyed resets the cooldown for 1 charge of Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura.

Every point of Elemental Mastery Yae Miko possesses will increase Sesshou Sakura DMG by 0.15%.

Has a 25% chance to get 1 regional Character Talent Material (base material excluded) when crafting. The rarity is that of the base material.

Divina Vulpes
C2 < C6

Yae Miko’s C1 allows her to use her Elemental Burst more often as it increases her Energy Recharge. Her Elemental Burst is very powerful but is often overlooked due to its high Energy requirement.

C2 increases the power of Yae Miko’s Elemental Skill. It increases both its range and overall damage. This is a powerful constellation that is definitely worth pulling for.

This increases the level to which Yae Miko’s Elemental Skill can be increased.

C4 boosts the Electro DMG Bonus of Yae Miko’s teammates when her Elemental Skill strikes an opponent. This is not particularly useful unless you are running a purely Electro team.

This increases the level to which Yae Miko’s Elemental Burst can be increased.

C6 is Yae Miko’s strongest constellation. It allows her Elemental Skill to ignore 60% of the opponent’s DEF. This means her pure damage and elemental reaction damage will be drastically higher.

2-Piece: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 20%.

4-Piece: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally, when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field.

Golden Troupe is the best set for an off-field Yae Miko. The set bonuses focus on increasing her Elemental Skill DMG, which is the main source of her power. The only fallout from this is that her Elemental Burst will not be buffed and will therefore be less powerful. Her on-field DMG will not be as great, but the off-field DMG should continuously make up for this.

2-Piece: Elemental Mastery +80.

4-Piece: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

A 4-piece Gilded Dreams can be used in a Dendro team. Increasing Yae Miko’s Elemental Mastery will allow for more powerful Dendro reactions. Due to her ability to constantly apply Electro from off-field, Yae Miko fits perfectly into most Dendro team compositions.

2-Piece: Electro DMG Bonus +15%.

4-Piece: Increases DMG caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom by 40%, and the DMG Bonus conferred by Aggravate is increased by 20%. When Quicken or the aforementioned Elemental Reactions are triggered, Elemental Skill CD is decreased by 1s. Can only occur once every 0.8s.

With the changes to Thundering Fury to accommodate Dendro reactions, this set is also good for Yae Miko in a Dendro team. It not only focuses on increasing her Electro DMG bonus but also increases the DMG dealt through Dendro reactions. This can be used as a 4-piece set in a Dendro team, or a 2-piece set for the Electro DMG Bonus in any team composition.

Yae Miko’s signature weapon is Kagura’s Verity. It is the best 5-star weapon that was specifically made for her. It increases her Elemental Skill DMG and Elemental DMG Bonus when she uses her Elemental Skill, which is her primary focus. It is an excellent option that is definitely worth pulling for.

Skyward Atlas is the next best 5-star weapon that is available from the Standard Banner. It has a very high Base ATK value and increases Yae Miko’s Elemental DMG Bonus. It is possible to cause the passive ability to occur by using Yae Miko’s Normal Attack before switching off field, however this does not always occur.

Other 5-star weapon options include: Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds and Memory of Dust.

Sacrificial Jade is a catalyst that can be purchased through Battle Pass. Its CRIT Rate and Elemental Mastery stats are wonderful for a Sub-DPS Yae Miko. Its passive can be used easily as Yae Miko is primarily used off-field.

Hakushin Ring is the best Free to Play option. It is a craftable weapon for Inazuma which means it is easily available for all players who have unlocked this region. It is a great weapon for Dendro teams or any that focus on causing Elemental Reactions.

Other 4-star weapon options include: The Widsith (Wish), Solar Pearl (Battle Pass), Mappa Mare (Forgeable), and Oathsworn Eye (Event).
