Mona + Bennett + Sucrose Combo Team Comp Guide

Vaporize Burst Mona is one of the most famous elemental reaction attack that will deal massive damage to the enemies – from around 200k to up 500k damage! Some players have even managed to reach one million damage from this reaction alone. In this guide, I will share with you how you can execute this Vaporize Burst combo with the team composition of Mona, Bennett and Sucrose.

Since you only need three characters, you can use any character to fill the fourth slot. Either another Pyro character so you get that Pyro Resonance (increase ATK by 25%), or using Zhongli for the Resistance Shred, or any Catalyst user that uses Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayer (TTDS) that will increase 24% up to 48% ATK. The choice is up to you!

Mona + Bennett Only Combo

The simplest combo you can do is Pyro > Mona’s Burst > wait 2 seconds > Pyro

Bennett’s burst can buff ATK. This is useful since you want to get all the buff you could for Mona (to increase Mona’s burst damage). To do this combo, this is what you need to follow:

Bennett’s Burst > Mona’s Burst > wait 2 seconds > Bennett’s E Skill

  • Bennett’s Burst to apply burn-pyro aura.
  • Mona’s Burst to trigger the first vaporize reaction. If you want to know the explanation behind Mona’s burst reaction, you can click this link.
  • 2 seconds timer for Internal Cooldown. Bennett’s Burst ATK buff. Make sure you don’t switch to Bennett yet, since Mona will lose Bennett’s ATK buff.
  • Bennett’s E skill to trigger the 2nd vaporize reaction and deliver Mona’s burst damage.

Mona + Bennett + Sucrose Combo

With Sucrose, you can increase Mona’s Elemental Mastery (EM) while also decreasing the enemy’s hydro resistance (if you equipped Viridescent Venerer 4 set artifact on Sucrose). Not only Bennett’s buff will increase Mona’s ATK, Sucrose will also increase Mona’s EM. To do this combo, you need to make sure that you finish this sequence within 8 seconds after Sucrose’s hydro swirl, because Sucrose’s EM boost only last for 8 seconds.

This is the combo you need to follow:

Mona’s hydro normal attack > Sucrose’s E Skill (hydro swirl) > Bennett’s Burst > Mona’s Burst > wait 2 seconds > Bennett’s E Skill

  • Mona’s hydro normal attack to apply wet-hydro aura,
  • Sucrose’s E Skill to swirl hydro, boost EM, reduce enemy’s hydro resistance and remove the wet aura,
  • Bennett’s Burst to apply burn-pyro aura,
  • Mona’s Burst to trigger the first vaporize reaction,
  • 2 seconds timer for Internal Cooldown,
  • Bennett’s E skill to trigger the 2nd vaporize reaction and deliver Mona’s burst damage.

Mona + Bennett + Sucrose + TTDS Combo

If you add another support catalyst character like Barbara or Yanfei, all you need to do is swap to Mona so that Mona can benefit ATK buff from TTDS’s passive.

This is the combo you need to follow:

TTDS Catalyst (no need to do anything, just switch to Mona after this character) > Mona’s hydro normal attack > Sucrose’s E Skill (hydro swirl) > Bennett’s Burst > Mona’s Burst > wait 2 seconds > Bennett’s E Skill

If you put TTDS on Sucrose, you need to switch to Mona first so she will benefit that ATK buff from TTDS passive, then you can use Bennett’s burst (this timing will be extremely tight though). If you use another catalyst support in this team, it’s better to give TTDS to that support character instead of Sucrose. Since the 8 seconds timer only starts from Sucrose’s hydro swirl.

I hope you learn something from this guide today. You can also watch the YouTube video guide for visual demonstration to help you understand how to do this combo. That’s all for this post, I’ll see you in another post!
